2019 Triumph Street Twin and Street Scrambler Updates Coming to Intermot

We already know Triumph is introducing a new 1200cc Scrambler, and the California Air Resources Board has certified a new Speed Twin, and now it looks like the British manufacturer will also be updating its 900cc Street Scrambler and Street Twin for 2019.

Triumph’s official website now lists a grayed-out Street Twin and Street Scrambler alongside the existing 2018 models, calling them “all-new.” Triumph has also released two teaser videos for the new models, announcing they will debut Oct. 2, which happens to be the first day of Intermot.

The Street Twin video claims the 2019 model will offer more fun, performance and style than the outgoing model. Motorcycle.com can confirm that CARB has released an executive order for a 2019 Street Twin, certifying it at producing significantly less carbon monoxide but slightly more nitrogen oxide emissions than the 2018 model, indicating some changes to the engine or exhaust system. Style-wise, it’s hard to say if the 2019 model is much different. The silhouetted on Triumph’s website and the darkened profile in the video (pictured at top) reveal a very few differences from the existing model. The seat appears to be slightly taller and the rear fender a bit shorter, though it’s hard to say with complete certainty.

The Street Scrambler video also offers very few details. What we can see doesn’t look all that different from the current model, though it’s a good bet the 2019 Street Scrambler will share some similarities with the new 1200cc Scrambler. Like the Street Twin, the 2019 Street Scrambler has also been certified by CARB, show reduced levels of hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions.

We’ll learn more in a week’s time when the 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler and Street Twin debut at Intermot.
