2022 Indian Model Updates Announced
New colors and accessories for returning 2022 models
Indian announced new colors and other updates to the cruiser, bagger and touring models returning for 2022.
The Indian Scout range returns with all five models coming back for 2022. This includes the 1133cc Scout, Scout Bobber and Scout Bobber Twenty, as well as the 999cc Scout Sixty and Scout Bobber Sixty.
The returning Thunderstroke models include the Springfield and Springfield Dark Horse, the Chieftain, Chieftain Dark Horse and Chieftain Limited, the Roadmaster, Roadmaster Dark Horse and Roadmaster Limited. Notably absent and presumably discontinued are the Indian Vintage and Vintage Dark Horse, which will be disappointing for leather fringe aficionados and fans of the retro look.
The PowerPlus-powered Challenger, Challenger Dark Horse and Challenger Limited are also returning for 2022. We expect these liquid-cooled models will be joined by a new model called the Pursuit (plus Dark Horse and Limited models, and “Premium Package” versions) which will be announced in the near future. The 2022 Challenger models receive a retuned traction control system that Indian claims will provide a smoother feel when engaged.
For 2022, all models equipped with the Ride Command infotainment system receive a new update adding a feature that overlays the current legal speed limit on the map screen or the navigation split screens during routing. The speed limit overlay comes standard on all 2022 Ride Command-equipped models and can be added to all 2020 and 2021 models through a software update. The updated software also adds expanded Bluetooth device compatibility and starts up faster when turning on the display.
New Accessories
Indian also added a number of new accessories across its model range. Highlights include a Spriit Lake Luggage Collection which includes a rack bag, day bag and touring bag, and new rear LED saddlebag lights.
For Challenger models, Indian offers new hard lower fairings for added wind protection. Compatible with all 2020-2022 Challenger models, the lower fairings also add additional storage compartments or they can be fitted with optional speakers.
The Scout selection of accessories adds a 5.75-inch Pathfinder Adaptive LED headlight, adjustable piggyback rear suspension, an analog tachometer, and new two-up seat and passenger backrest options.
These returning models join the previously announced 2022 Indian FTR range and the new Chief models. Not yet announced are the 2022 Elite models, which we expect will consist of a Chieftain Elite and a Challenger Elite.
New 2022 bagger and touring models will arrive in U.S. dealerships in the next few weeks while the 2022 Scout models will arrive in January.

I'd seriously consider an FTR if they could get more than a 100 mile range when you're having fun with it- at least 150mi to low fuel light.
Honestly , I don't see too many Indians on the road. They should build some modern bikes instead.
