2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and Street Glide – First Look
Next-generation fairings and Milwaukee-Eight 117 make their way to non-CVO models
Harley-Davidson announced the new 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide, updating the baggers with features that debuted on the 2023 CVO models. The Street Glide and Road Glide will only be offered in the standard and CVO versions, with no Specials for 2024.
The 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide come with an updated Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine with an updated cooling system which replaces the M-8 114 that previously powered the Special models, and the 107ci engine that powered the 2023 standard versions. Harley-Davidson claims an output of 105 hp at 4,600 rpm and 130 lb-ft. at 3,250 rpm, compared to a 95 hp at 5,020 rpm and 122 lb-ft. at 2,750 rpm claimed by the 2023 Specials, and 86 hp at 5,020 rpm and 109 lb-ft. at 3,000 rpm claimed by the Milwaukee-Eight 107.
Interestingly, the updated engine uses the same cam timer cover as the VVT engine on the CVO models, but without the variable valve timing system. Perhaps this means that the engine could eventually be upgraded with VVT, though nothing has been announced as yet.
Both models come with selectable ride modes: Road, Rain, and Sport, plus customizable modes. Each offers different engine mapping and settings for lean-sensitive anti-lock braking and traction control systems.
The 2024 models come with the new-style fairings that were introduced on the 2023 CVO models. The Street Glide’s batwing and the Road Glide’s shark nose fairing both feature integrated LED headlights and turn signals, distinguishing themselves from previous-generation models.
Behind the fairings, the baggers come with a 12.3-inch TFT color touchscreen that replaces the previous analog gauges. The infotainment system is powered by Harley-Davidson’s Skyline OS system, with multiple display options and navigation. The fairings also house speakers powered by a new 200-watt amplifier.
Unlike the CVO models which use inverted forks, the standard Street Glide and Road Glide make use of non-adjustable 49mm telescopic forks offering 4.6 inches of travel. At the back, dual rear shocks provide adjustable preload and 3.0 inches of travel.
Pricing for both the Road Glide and Street Glide starts at $25,999 in Billiard Gray with chrome trim. Vivid Black adds $600 to the price, while $850 gets you White Onyx Pearl, Whiskey Fire, Blue Burst, or Alpine Green. Blacked out trim adds $1,350 to the price, plus the option of Atlas Silver Metallic or Sharkskin Blue for an additional $850.

The CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide are also returning for 2024, in Copperhead with Scorched Chrome trim for $44,499, or Legendary Orange with Chrome trim for $50,499.

Nice looking bike. But I hate it that at 25k I still need to spend another 1k to get a seat that can comfortably ride two up, along a few other accessories to make it a true cruiser for two up riding.
Damn I love them but CVO prices are outrageous! I can't justify what you get for the huge bump in price that they charge you. The Roadglide fairing looks like a snowmobile. God awful.
