Aprilia Reveals Special Edition RSV4 and Tuono V4 SE-09 SBK
Numbered models celebrate RSV4's first WSBK victory in 2009
Aprilia has revealed new special edition liveries for the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory recognizing the RSV4’s first World Superbike Championship race win in 2009.
The RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK and Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK come in a paint scheme styled after the bike Max Biaggi rode to victory in Brno on July 26, 2009. The victory was the first of 44 (and counting) WSBK wins for the RSV4, as well as 102 total podiums, three rider titles and four manufacturer championships.
Unveiled at the Circuit of the Americas ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP round, the numbered SE-09 SBK models also come equipped with carbon fiber front brake air intakes and a carbon fiber front fender. Aprilia MotoGP riders Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales were both on hand for the unveiling, and both models will be on display at COTA through the weekend.
The RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK is priced at $26,499, a $500 increase over the regular model. Considering the front brake scoops come in at $265.50 on their own, that’s not a bad premium for a special edition model. The Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK might be an even better bargain at $19,999, a $400 increase over the regular model. Expect both models to arrive in dealerships in June.
